(Source: katumus)The reality of mental illness is not beautiful. The reality, is horrible. It’s blood everywhere, Panic attacks in the middle of town. Seeing and hearing things. Not knowing what’s real, Doubting the existence of family and friends and worst of all yourself. It’s screaming inside. Doctors appointments, medication, side effects. Becoming an adult way before you’re 18. It’s A+E and overdoses and pain. There’s so much God damned pain. But do you know what is beautiful? When you take everything you’ve got to fight back. You don’t always have to be 100% ok. As long as you get back up and fight back. That is beautiful.▼
That is me, summed up in a quote. Once upon a time, someone told me that the world would fall in love with my charismatic, bubbly, and optimistic personality. They told me my smile could change the world, and to never lose heart or hope. And at one point in time, I actually believed them….
